The body is an amazing and very intelligent energetic machine that is always working for us, even when we are sleeping. The earth provides our bodies with many resources that can help bring our bodies back to homeostasis.
Here are some Natural Healing Modalities that you can explore as an option to help ease auto-immune disease symptoms and prevent health problems:
Gut Health: Balancing your gut bacteria can ease your auto-immune disease. Gut bacteria can get out of balance due to many factors but we now know that your gut microbiome is a large key to your immune system and while healing the gut can take some time, it can often reduce many of the symptoms.
Herbs and essential oils: An ancient remedy used since the beginning of time to heal. The study of herbs and essential oils and which are better for various symptoms and diseases is very detailed and often overlooked in our medical world. If you find a good herbalist, you might be pleasantly surprised at what it can do for you. Here are just a few herbs that you might recognize; Oregano, ginger, dandelion, lavender, mint and tea tree.
Non-synthetic food and materials: Organic, natural and non-gmo foods are always a better option than those with preservatives, chemicals and the use of pesticides. This, however, also translates into our clothing, bed sheets, receipts, etc. The use of synthetic materials in our lives has increased dramatically and made with the use of heavy chemicals and dyes that cannot be washed out. These materials lay against our skin (our largest organ) and get absorbed into the body. Using more organic clothing like linen, hemp, cotton, silk, angora and wool are always better options.
Wi-Fi, cell phone use and EMF: Constant exposure to these toxic signals increase the stress within our body and confuse it. Grounding to the earth and reducing and getting rid of high energy waves has been shown to reduce symptoms and disease.
Acupuncture: Symptoms can arise from an excess or deficiency of yin and yang that disrupts the flow of vital energy, known as Qi or Chi throughout the body. Acupuncture is used to help the body restore balance, treating the root of the disorder, while also specifically addressing the symptoms that are unique to each individual.
CLEAN WATER: Chronically dehydrated cells in the body will never allow you to heal and will exacerbate every small symptom. Get at least ½ your body-weight in ounces of good quality water.
De-stressing: Unfortunately, not only does stress contribute and in some cases cause disease, but the symptoms and disease itself also causes significant stress in people, creating a vicious cycle. Here are some stress reducers that you might consider adding to your daily schedule, even if it’s just for a few minutes; Meditation, Yoga, a walk in nature, listening to soothing music, focusing on your breathing or laughing with your friends and family.
Infrared Sauna: Infrared wavelengths provide deep penetrating heat therapy to joints, muscles and tissues by increasing blood circulation and speeding oxygen flow to areas of discomfort. It can help with arthritis, fibromyalgia and other chronic pain conditions as well as help detoxify the body from chemicals, antibiotics and other other toxins.
The Mental, Emotional & Spiritual: We are the sum of our whole life, meaning every memory, good or bad lives in our mind and our hearts, and thus our muscles, organs, blood, etc. It cannot be separated. The truth is, it took years and commitment and the help of many modalities, all of which I still continue to explore and use to remain as symptom free as possible. Auto-immune diseases are so complicated and are outside the scope of my expertise, but I share with you my experience and exploration. I have seen a reduction of symptoms in myself and clients who have also used some of these methods. )
